Cultural Landscapes Mural Project

The Art on Campus committee announces that Lane Community College will be receiving some color on campus this summer in a big way. A mural designed by artist and Lane instructor, Tom Madison, will be painted on Building 5 by students under the instruction of Mr. Madison. The mural is being executed as an art class, beginning August 15. The design celebrates the diverse cultural landscape of the college, the United States, and the world at large, in an abstract and symbolic way.

The mural was approved through the college's established art review process with funding for materials provided primarily through the President's fund and The Lane Foundation. Paint for the project is being donated by Tommy's Paint Pot of Eugene.  For further information contact Art on Campus Committee Chair Susan Lowdermilk, lowdermilks@lanecc.edu or Tom Madison, madisont@lanecc.edu.
