Susan Lowdermilk Juror for Mayor's Art Show

Susan Lowdermilk, printmaker, book artist, and instructor in the LCC Art and Applied Design Department, is a juror for the Mayor's Art Show at the Jacob's Gallery this year. This annual juried show of work by Lane County artists is held at the Hult Center's Jacob Gallery as part of the Eugene Celebration. Lowdermilk along with two other artists juried 426 entries and selected 50-60 pieces that will go on display. The Jacob's Gallery is located in the Hult Center at Seventh and Willamette. The Mayor's Art Show will be open from September 12 until October 16.

The Salon Des Refuses will exhibit pieces not chosen for the Mayor's Art Show at the New Zone Gallery at 164 West Broadway until October 17.

Fast Foward: The Mayor's Teen Art Show will exhibit work by local teenagers at the Maude Kerns Art Center at 1910 E. 15th Avenue until October 3.

The Register-Guard featured Lowdermilk in an article about the exhibit in the September 11 issue - "Judgment day: Jurors for one of Eugene's most popular art exhibits talk about how they chose."
