Jefferson Goolsby - "Sightings" October 24-November 10

The Lane Community College Art Gallery is proud to present the exhibition "Sightings" by Jefferson Goolsby, media arts program coordinator and instructor at Lane Community College.

Jefferson Goolsby is an intermedia artist working in moving and still image, sound, performance, and interactive installation exploring themes of geographic and cultural displacement, globalization, and individual reckoning. His work has been presented throughout the United States and internationally including the Maine Center for Contemporary Arts Biennial; International Symposium on Electronic Arts 2008 (Singapore) and 2009 (Belfast); Jordan Schnizter Museum of Art; and the Portland International Experimental Film Festival.

The show runs from October 24th through November 10th. A lecture will take place on Thursday, October 27th, beginning at 3:30 with a reception immediately following. The lecture and reception are free and open to the public. The gallery is located in building 11 on the main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue. There is no charge for admission.
