The Lane Community College Art Gallery is proud to present “Memories of War, The New Generation”, part of the Counterpoint 2011 War + Peace series hosted by the Eugene Symphony.
This exhibition will feature regional artists showcasing work from all mediums. Their works will explore the viewpoints of the new generation of war and peace. The focus of the exhibition will be to exam the history of war and how it contrasts to the new world changes in the post 9/11 era.
Exhibiting artists include: Kate Ali, Susie Morrill, Andreas Salzman, Jennifer Salzman, Lee Imonen, Susan Lowdermilk, Jan Halvorsen, JS Bird, Satoko, Bob DeVine, Carrie O’Coyle, Alice Sundstrom, Anne Godfrey, Kristie Potwora, Dan Welton, Jeri Mrazek and Ellen Tykeson.
The show runs from October 24 to December 1. A reception will be held on Thursday, November 3 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
The gallery is located in building 11 on main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue in Eugene, Oregon. There is no charge for admission. The Art and Applied Design Department phone number is 541-463-5409.
