Art of Figurative Art exhibition, Feb. 2 - March 31

The Art of Figurative Art is a joint exhibit at Raven Frame Works from February 2 to March 31. LCC fine art faculty members, Adam Grosowsky, Jan Halvorsen, and Ellen Tykeson have work in this exhibit. An opening reception is on February 6 at 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

ARC: Sculpture of LCC Faculty & Students Exhibit, May 8-June 13

The Jacobs Gallery presents an exhibition titled ARC: The Sculpture of LCC Faculty and Students - May 8 -June 13. Artists in the exhibition are Kate Ali, Amelia Beiderwell, Lee Imonen, Laree Morgenstern, Virgil Newton, Andreas Salzman, Eric Schults, Deborah Taube, and Ellen Tykeson.

The Artists' Insight Gallery Talk will be held on Friday, May 8, 3:30 - 4:30 pm.

The Opening Reception will be on Friday, May 8, 5:30-8:30 pm.

The exhibit will be one of the stops on the Lane Arts Council First Friday ArtWalk on Friday, June 5, 5:30-8:30 pm.

The Jacobs Gallery is located on the lower level of the Hult Center in downtown Eugene. "A Fine Balance" by Ellen Tykeson at Peace Health - RiverBend

"A Fine Balance" by Ellen Tykeson is a beautiful, monumental commission for the new Peace Health Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, Oregon. This piece is comprised of 5 circus performers ranging in height from 4 feet to 12 feet and will be placed in the meadow in front of the hospital.

Ellen and her sculpture were featured in an article in The Register-Guard on Augsut 28, "It's a Balancing Act: Installed at RiverBend, a sculpture embodies the importance of equilibrium."
