Artist Books and Pop-up, a Sampler -- Susan Lowdermilk Workshop at OCAC

Susan Lowdermilk is presenting a 2-day workshop:  Artist Books and Pop-up, a Sampler at the Oregon College of Art and Craft on March 5-6, (Sat, Sun) 9:00 am--4:00 pm.

In this workshop, you will learn a variety of pop-up techniques and folded and stitched book structures. Form, materials and content, and how the three are essentially integrated will be discussed throughout the workshop, as well design, layout and problem solving strategies. Examples of artist books from the instructor’s collection will be presented and discussed. All skill levels are welcome, beginning to advanced. Tuition received on or before 2/16, $230. Tuition received after 2/16, $250. Studio fee $20.

Collagraph Printmaking Workshop, Feb. 13-14


Jody Dunphy, an artist and printmaker, will offer a Collagraph Printmaking Workshop on February 13-14 (Saturday and Sunday), 9:00 am - 4:00 pm in the LCC Printmaking Studio.

The workshop is open to all levels, beginning to advanced. In this workshop you will explore collagraph - a hybrid intaglio/relief process characterized by a rich, organic image quality. It is an exciting process suitable for beginners and for experienced printmakers. During this workshop, participants will experiment with the medium while creating a series of prints.
