Schmitt came to Eugene after getting his master’s in fine arts from Kent State University in 1998. His porcelain tableware has been collected by the Smithsonian. Satoko in "Landscapes by Gallery Artists" at White Lotus, June 3 - July 30
White Lotus Gallery is pleased to announce a special open house event for jewelry artists Suzanne Linquist and Christine L. Sundt and ceramicist Hank Murrow. It will be held at the gallery on Friday, June 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, June 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will showcase new works by the artists. Also on June 3, an exhibit of Landscapes by Gallery Artists will open and feature works by Northwest and Asian artists such as Jon Jay Cruson, Satoko Motouji, Connie Mueller, Gary Tepfer, Maurice Van, Her Xuesheng, and Li Yanpeng. Showcased media range from acrylic, watercolor, and oil paintings to photography and woodcut and linocut prints. The exhibit will be on display through July 30.
